OUR STORY
Solving problems and improving operations for our customers since 1983.
T&L Specialty was started by Cecil Overton in 1983 to develop industrial cleaning products. Since then, we have grown to become a leading developer and distributor of specialty chemicals and solutions for a wide range of manufacturers across the Southeast.
In the late 1980s, we launched our Parts Cleaning/Paint Stripping department, which works with many of our customers to strip and clean paint, epoxies, powder coatings, and other combustible materials from steel, plastic, nylon, and aluminum parts so that they can be sold or reused.
We have an in-house chemist who works directly with customers to develop custom solutions and formulations that meet specific challenges and requests, while ensuring the quality of each and every one of our products.
Our custom formulas and cleaning agents — including paint removers, coolants, rust preventatives and removers, phosphates, and metal-forming lubricants — are trusted by customers in the steel, auto, furniture, electrical and lighting industries alike.
Our success has been fueled by our dedication to customer service, as well as our ability to continually improve the products and services we offer.

Organic Liquid for Burnishing Non-Ferrous Metals
Burnishing Compound CU 3850 is a blend of organic acids and surfactants used primarily for aluminum copper and brass alloys. Efficiency and life of media is improved with Burnishing Compound CU 3850. Developed to improve brilliant colors and a highly polished, lustrous finish with any acceptable non-abrasive media.
Due to its liquid nature, Burnishing Compound CU 3850 can be easily and accurately measured, and is ready for use upon dilution.
The organic inhibitors provide good protection for non-ferrous parts in storage and the surfactant system used offers a high level of emulsification and cleaning.
